When a 4th generation Camp Mystic family, who had 8 cousins at camp during the recent tragedy, reached out to me to design a bracelet, I couldn't. As a mother of 4, I did not feel I could do it justice.
An egives to Camp Mystic piece needed to be DESIGNED BY MYSTIC CAMPERS and that's what we did!
Our design meeting with MYSTIC Campers was focused on creating a sense of community. They wanted to find a way to make sure Camp Mystic families know people outside of camp, outside of Hunt and outside of Texas are with them.
They wanted to honor and remember friends, counselors and Dick Eastland, while capturing the Christian roots of the camp and the magic behind the green gates.
